Arielle (Bella Thorne) is a down on her luck dreamer who longs for popularity. Dean (Jake Manley) is an ex-con working for his abusive father. The two have an instant connection, and after the accidental death of Dean’s father, are forced on the run. In order to sustain their trip, the two are relegated to shooting their way across the southland, robbing gas stations and small shops. In an attempt to gain social media clout, Arielle livestreams their violent robberies. The two become a modern day viral Bonnie & Clyde stream-rolling towards a tragic ending.

INFAMOUS is America: a fantasyland where the lines between reality and illusion have become dangerously blurred; where the majority of kids say they want to be famous -- but for what it doesn’t matter. It’s a culture steeped in a desire for “likes” and the willingness to get them at all costs, just to be relevant; where your follower count is the new currency.
The question isn’t “Could this happen?” The question is “How hasn’t it already?” Because the myth of Bonnie and Clyde was built by the media to sell newspapers and it turned them into national celebrities. Social media has now taken that position becoming the news source of choice for an audience willing to create celebrities everyday out of people writing their own stories. If something like this happened in real life, we would be following it. Love or hate Arielle and Dean, agree or disagree with their actions, if this was reality, we’d all be a part of it.

Bella Thorne’s portrayal of Arielle, with all its complexities and nuances, speaks to a newer generation. Bella is a boundary-pushing, driving force in the world of social media and she brought Arielle to life in the way I had hoped she would. Making Arielle a middle finger to anyone standing in the way of her achieving fame, no matter the cost.
Bella Thorne is a model, singer, actress and she is a giant Social Media phenomenon with her current 24,1 million Instagram followers - some of her Infamous posts has currently around 1,9 million views. She won awards as a teenage actress in the Disney-show Shake It Up, she features in numerous movies and tv series, such as The Duff, Blended Alvin and the Chipmunks: The Road Trip, Amityville: The Awakening and the series Famous in Love.
JAKE MANLEY - Dean

ake Manley brought a soul and an emotional quality to his performance that grounds him to the audience. Despite “heading for a cliff” he can’t let go of Arielle. He’s stuck on this ride, in the same way the audience is, until the end.
Jake Manley is best known from the Netflix series The Order: Season 2. Recently he starred in the Netflix movie Holidate opposite Emma Roberts.
I 2019 Manley starred in Lionsgate’s Midway along side Woody Harrelson, Dennis Quaid and Mandy Moore, directed by Roland Emmerich. Manley also stars in A Dog’s Journey, Heroes: Unborn, Brotherhood, America Gods.
